Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1. Introduction & acceptance

Welcome to webme.ie (referred to as "we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and our web design, development, e-commerce, SEO, hosting, and website care services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our website or engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotes, payments & timelines

  • Every project begins with a written quote describing the agreed scope, price, and timeline. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before it begins.
  • Unless agreed otherwise in your quote, projects are billed as a deposit on commencement with the balance due at launch. Care plans and hosting are billed as a recurring subscription.
  • Timelines depend on timely feedback and content from you; delays in providing materials may extend the schedule.

3. Ownership of your website

On full payment, you own your website: the domain (registered in your name), the design, and your content. We retain the right to reference and display completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to. Third-party components (fonts, licensed photography, payment platforms) remain subject to their own licences.

4. Care plans, hosting & cancellation

Care plans cover hosting, security updates, backups, and agreed content changes, billed monthly with no locked-in contract. You can cancel any time and service continues to the end of the paid billing period. On cancellation we provide a full export of your website and assist with a clean handover to a new host.

5. Search rankings & results

We build every site to strong technical SEO standards and follow search engine guidelines. However, no provider can guarantee a specific position in Google or any other search engine, and we make no such guarantee. Beware of anyone who does.

6. Communications

By submitting an enquiry form you consent to us contacting you about your enquiry by email or phone. Your contact details are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing peter@webme.ie.

7. Liability

We take care to build reliable, secure websites, but we are not liable for losses caused by third-party outages (hosting platforms, payment providers, email services), content you supply, or changes made to the website by parties other than us. Our total liability in any claim is limited to the fees paid for the Services giving rise to the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
